Theoretical Nanotechnology
The Theoretical Nanotechnology group works on quantum phenomena in nanostructures based on modern two-dimensional systems. Key words are nonequilibrium and interactions. Examples of recent work include the study of Coulomb drag in coupled graphene-based quantum dots, valleytronics and quantum interference in carbon-based nanostructures, or topological correlation effects in atomically precise graphene nanoribbons. We use many-body techniques (e.g., nonequilibrium Green’s functions) to study these phenomena, often in close collaboration with the Theoretical Nanoelectronics group. (Emeritus Antti-Pekka Jauho)
