Courses and teaching
We teach courses from 1st year physics to PhD courses specialised in 2D materials throughout the physics educations (bachelor to master) at DTU Physics, and also teach in courses coordinated by other departments. 2D materials are powerful, strange and exciting, but also allows you to learn about concepts like mechanical properties, crystal structure, phonons and bandstructures in relatively simple ways. The opportunities for engineering are huge for 2D materials.
If you are interested in special courses, bachelor and master projects, see Student Projects. We can nearly always find something that matches your background, skills and interests. We also develop next-generation teaching materials and technology, such as VR-based simulations where you can build - and measure - 2D materials and molecules in real time, in a virtual laboratory. We also study how artificial intelligence can be used to make adaptable teaching materials, that adjust pace, level, quizzes and learning focus to the users needs.
