10521 Physics and technology of two-dimensional materials
"Introduction to Engineering Physics" is a 10 ECTS introductory course designed for BSc students in Physics and Nanotechnology, offering an engineering perspective through six intensive 4-week modules that combine lectures, problem-solving, computer simulations, and laboratory experiments across diverse topics such as X-ray imaging, ultrafast optics, hydrodynamics, accelerometers, semiconductor nanostructures, and graphene/2D materials . Our "2D Materials" module focus on the fundamental physics and engineering of atomically thin materials such as graphene, exploring their unique electronic and optical properties, and providing hands-on experience in experimental techniques and data analysis with graphene transistors and optical absorption measurements.
