At the Center for Atomar-skala Materialedesign (CAMD) Jens K. Nørskov and his team have developed ideas and models for a computer program that is able to calculate how a given material should be designed – atom by atom – in order to have the most optimal qualities.

On accepting the award, Jens K. Nørskov said: The Grundfos Award will provide us with funding which will further our research. The whole process from idea to action will be faster and that might have great bearing on the future of our research’.
