  • The Villum Young Investigator programme focuses on attracting and retaining talented young Danish and foreign researchers at Danish universities. The aim is to support the universities' development of high-level international research environments.
  • The programme is announced once a year in an open competition with an application deadline in June. In 2024, three DTU researchers received YIP.
  • In 2021, the programme has been supplemented with a so-called additional grant called YIP+, which will ensure a stable research career for the most talented Villum Young Investigators.
